Background
The world we have built is sustained by its industries. Economic empowerment is the first and most important step in accessing personal liberties and rights, from basic necessities like quality healthcare to enjoyment and leisure. This is why one of the most important milestones in a country’s quest to achieve its social, political, and economic goals is employment. Without ensuring that a significant number of individuals are able to access formal, well paying, and dignified means of employment, no government can assure its citizens of a decent quality of life.
Unfortunately, a large proportion of India’s population does not receive important prerequisites to gaining such employment in the modern world, such as education and access to technology. This also means that there is a startling asymmetry of information and connection, when it comes to
understanding or making the most of the job market. Without training and opportunities, it will never be possible for our country to uplift the millions of people who require and deserve meaningful employment. This is precisely where Project Safalta makes an intervention!
